General directives

Notice: Your repertoire list must comply with the “Repertoire Guidelines”, as specified in the rules.

First Elimination

  1. One aria by J.S. Bach or Handel.
  2. One concert or religious music aria by Mozart or one oratorio aria by Haydn.
  3. Two lieder by Schubert.
  4. One opera aria from the romantic Italian repertoire.
  5. One work of your choice.

Maximum time: 40 minutes


  1. One opera aria by Mozart, Beethoven or Weber or one oratorio aria by Mendelssohn.
  2. One romantic cycle or a group of lieder by one romantic composer (including Beethoven).
  3. Two French songs.
  4. One opera aria from the 20th or 21st century.
  5. One opera aria or your choice.
  6. A Canadian work written after 1950.

Maximum time: 60 minutes


  1. Two opera arias of your choice (different languages).
  2. One or two works for voice and orchestra.
