General directives

Notice: Your repertoire list must comply with the “Repertoire Guidelines”, as specified in the rules.

First Elimination

  1. One of the following works:
    • Tansman: Sonatina
    • Dutilleux: Sarabande et Cortège
    • Jean Jean: Prélude et Scherzo
    • Arnold: Fantasy Op. 86
  2. Two consecutive movements (including the slow movement) of a sonata or a concerto from the baroque period.
  3. Two consecutive movements (including the slow movement) from one of the following works:
    • Weber: Concerto in F major
    • Hummel: Concerto in F major
    • Mozart: Concerto in B flat major
  4. One complete work or a group of movements or one movement of your choice.

(Maximum time: 40 min)

Semi-Final

  1. One sonata or concerto from the classical period.
  2. One work from the romantic period.
  3. One or two works from the 20th or 21st century.
  4. A Canadian work written after 1950.

(Maximum time: 60 min)

Final

  1. One work with orchestra.

(No time limit)
