General directives

Notice: Your repertoire list must comply with the “Repertoire Guidelines”, as specified in the rules.

First Elimination

  1. One of the following works:
    • Borne: Fantaisie brillante sur Carmen
    • Dutilleux: Sonatine
    • Enesco: Cantabile et Presto
    • Jolivet: Chant de Linos
  2. Three contrasting movements of a partita or two consecutive movements (including the slow movement) of a sonata by J.S. Bach.
  3. One of the following works:
    • Doppler: Fantaisie pastorale hongroise
    • Gaubert: Nocturne et Allegro Scherzando
    • Schubert: Introduction, Thème et Variations
  4. One complete work or a group of movements or one movement of your choice.

(Maximum time: 40 min)

Semi-Final

  1. One sonata or concerto from the pre-classical or classical period.
  2. One major romantic work.
  3. One or two works from the 20th or 21st century.
  4. A Canadian work written after 1950.

(Maximum time: 60 min)

Final

  1. One complete concerto.

(No time limit)
